"Life
is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty
and well preserved body; but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a
Ride!"

THE FIRST TO 300 - BILL WARNER
The
LTA is please to announce that on Saturday, July 16th, Bill Warner
became the first person to surpass 300 miles per hour sitting on a
motorcycle when he powered his way to a staggering 311.945 MPH at the
2011 Maine Event. We would like to congratulate Bill for his
monumental achievement and also acknowledge the amount of dedication and
personal sacrifice such a feat required.
Also Bill, thank you for proving that if you have to go fast, you have to come here.

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
Calvin Coolidge 30th president of US (1872 - 1933)

From H4H4 (HOT FOR HOT FOURS) #3-0 with Permission of Author
Following are some options that will give more power,
better fuel mileage and still not hurt bearing life. I am assuming a couple of things, 1) We are
building a Model A engine (as opposed to a B engine) and 2) that we want it to idle nicely and
have good “driveability”. These are big
assumptions as it is kind of like asking how fast is fast? Keep in mind that if you ask 10 Model A
‘experts’ you will most likely get 12 different answers, most will be good, so
you just take it all in and decide for yourself what is best for you.
